An integrated property tax database across ALL 86 ULB’S of Haryana, resulting in an in-crease in overall net Tax-Base, improved service delivery, administrative, legal management including redressal of public grievances.
The Haryana Government is pioneering an initiative under the active leadership of Director General urban local bodies, IAS Amit Agarwal to integrate extensive Geo-referenced property information and tax database available with Urban Local Body (ULBs). The objective is to conduct aerial surveys using Drones, to keep a check on encroachment and illegal construction on government properties in the state to help improve tax collections and transparency.
Improving governance, boosting the economy, and inclusive development through credit flow to the priority sector are just some of the benefits of this initiative. Additionally, areas of improved outcome-oriented performance in the districts across sectors will create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods and improved infrastructure.
Director-General Urban Local Bodies Haryana, San-jay Gupta has awarded the assignment to M/s YCSPL a Jaipur based consultancy firm for the 86 towns GIS-based (property unique identification) mapping and database projects. The firm is a well-known consultancy firm in the urban planning and Engineering infrastructure field with a proven track record. This database will very useful in making decisions such as avoiding developing in certain areas, execution of policy, and development control. Tailor custom re-ports to meet the evolving needs of the database like defaulters and illegal encroachment zones, areas of conflict, land suitability and monitoring an area or con-ducting a feasibility study of a location for a specific purpose, will help in understanding and in calculating tax demands.
